GARNET has always been extremely popular. Connected to the element of fire and the Root chakra, this stone is known to cleanse and energize all chakras as well as revitalizing the body's energies. No Wonder it is used to shut off negative energies and brighten dark souls. Its main uses throughout history is as protector though, both by warriors of queen and kings as well as of the heart. Its protective powers tend to turn their wearers into self-confident and passionate pursuers of goals. In the quest for love Garnets protective abilities come in handy as well, in particular in the first stages of wooing and uncertainty.

THULITE was discovered in Telemark, Norway, as late as 1820, and is today a popular semi precious gemstone for jewelry and healing. The name derives from “Thule” in which was used by the old Greeks to describe what today is synonymous to ‘Norway’. The best and most significant deposits of Thulite in the world today are found in Norway. In contrast to the stone known as thulite in the US (in which only consist of a very small percentage of actual thulite), the stone beads of this mala is nearly pure!

That this particular dramatic stone should be found in a part of the world where the inhabitants are exposed to long, dark winters and a harsh climate in general is a stroke of luck to the norwegians. Norwegian Thulite is said to link to the very life force and to be of great help if one suffers from fatigue, introversion and melancholia (the Norwegian stereotypical attitude if exposed too much to dark, long winters and wilderness). It is THE stone of public speakers, of actors, politicians or teachers, and will boost one’s abilities of showmanship and eloquence. A stone of the Root and Heart Chakra Thulite promotes sexual inventiveness, encouraging you to be proud of yourself and your body and to embrace a wee bit of shameless extroversion. No need to be down and out even if the sun does not shine!

What you get:
This mala is made of ethically sourced Garnet beads and ethically mined Thulite beads from Norway. The Thulite beads comes from a huge rock found in the wild nature of Leksvik County, Norway. The raw stones were mined by hand and transported by helicopter. The whole process of mining caused no damage to the environment. The mala is also made of fragrant fair trade Sandalwood beads from Tibet, and ornamented with brushed gold vermeil chips, as well as fair trade gold vermeil spacers from the Karen Hill Tribe of Thailand. The tassel is made of very fine and delicate silk thread, the kind that traditional Japanese kimonos are made of.

Care and Cleansing:
Crystals are absorbers and transmitters of energy, and in order for them to do their work, they need cleansing after use.
In order to cleanse this mala you can store it together with Carnelian stones or leave it in your windowsill a starry night with the moon up. You may also smudge it by using white salvie.
All stone beads of this mala can be cleaned with a soft cloth of lukewarm water.
Be careful not to rub the goldvermeiled chips and spacers or else you might damage the layer of 18K gold. Simply use a gold polishing cloth and you will be fine.

If you need to clean the tassel, do remember that silk is not particular fond of water. I suggest using a comb in order to release the tassel of dust. Do not clean this mala with chemicals. If stored properly and taken care of this mala might outlive you!

Placebo or Empowerment
To me crystals are powerful companions during meditations and in my daily doings. They do possess wisdom or connotes wisdom, they do empower me or I imagining they do. Truth to be told; I will never know for sure why crystals have such a positive influence on my life.
What I do know however is that no crystal alone can cure me of a severe chronic disability, or turn a doomed love affair into a happy ending. To be able to see what is possible and what is simply out of the question, is the first amendment in any book of survival-skills. That does not mean I don’t believe in miracles. Miracles are happening every day if you’re asking me! But as the complicated process of creating crystals reveals; miracles do not happen by itself.
