I am ready to show you many unique and varied works, each of which has its own story.
I got involved with art from an early age, and now I live, work and create on a small island located in the western part of Norway. In my works I use wooden objects found in various places in this wonderful country, it can be pieces of old furniture, items from antique shops, the remains of old houses, and sometimes I find suitable materials at flea markets. Using objects with a long history allows me to create unique compositions. My works are pure abstraction, consisting of details and objects, that have absorbed the history of Norway.
For the last few years I have only been doing sculpture. I pay special attention to working with abstract forms, creating works of art from a minimum of elements. I don't want my works to distort reality. The elements I use reinforce but, in the same time, don’t overlap each other. Getting acquainted with my work, you will notice each fragment is unique. The inimitable emotions, that you will experience, will astound you to the core.
Objectivity is harmful to my sculptures, so there is no need to look for figures in my compositions. My work does not depict anything, it just exists and simply gives pleasure with its rhythms, tones and form, just like music does with its tones, rhythms and loudness. A sense of harmony is the goal of my work. Come to me when you are sick of everyday life. With the help of my work, you will see how everyday and ordinary turns into something amazing and unexpected. Even if I work with a minimum of elements, the finished projects will impress everyone who looks at them at least once.
