Uno Elis Kauppi ( June 25, 1921 Turku - September 1, 2004, Kaarina ) was a Finnish jewelery designer. He was the first German-born artist and art craftsman Willy Baer as a student, studied at the Turku Art Society's Drawing School, 1936-1939, was the plow Goldsmith Ltd's doctrine of 1936-1945 and conducted by the engraver journeyman degree in 1945.  started Kauppi was one in 1945, operations in the Turku-based goldsmith shop Kupittaa Gold Ltd. (1945–1994) and its long-standing artistic director and designer of jewelry until 1988.
Elis Kauppi is one of the pioneers of modern Finnish jewelery design. His peculiar jewelery came out prominently in 1958 at Artek 's four-designer avant-garde jewelery exhibition, which is considered one of the major events in Finnish jewelery development. In addition to Kauppi, Bertel Gardberg , Börje Rajalin and Eero Rislakki participated in the exhibition . Another major domestic exhibition was organized by the Gemological Society in 1962, large-precious stones and jewelery exhibition, which reaches the peak of designers took part in the Eelis Kauppi addition, inter alia, Bertel Gardberg, Olli Auvinen, Paula Häiväoja, Börje Rajalin, Eero Rislakki and Jan Salakka.
Kupittaan Kulta was the only Finnish company to introduce itself at the Frankfurt Fair in 1960 and received sensational attention with its spectrolite jewelery.  Over the next few decades, Kupittaan Kulta produced a large number of various jewelry items designed by Kauppi, mainly for export markets in Central Europe, the United States and Japan. Her jewelry has also been featured in many international art exhibitions and museums around the world. They have become internationally sought-after jewelery collectors.
Kauppi's silver and gold jewelery tend to be very simple in shape, but still original. In the post-war period, when there was a shortage of jewels , Elis Kauppi was one of the first jewelers who used Finnish spectrite jewelery.
